Who buys these
Most are bought by someone else — a wife, a father, a flight instructor, a friend who sat in the car and watched. You don't need to know anything about aviation to order one. If you know where they fly, that's enough. Student pilots buy them too, usually the week it happens, while it still feels unreal.
What can you put on the map?
The airport itself is drawn from real data — runways, taxiways, terminals and aprons in their true positions. On top of that we add whatever marks the day: the pilot's name, the date of the solo, the aircraft tail number, the runway they used, and a line of text if you want one. Common choices are simple: First Solo — March 2025 — KAPA — N123AB, or The sky was mine.
Everything is optional except the airport.
What do you actually receive?
Two files, sent within 24–48 hours: a 300 DPI JPEG for standard photo printing, and a vector PDF that stays sharp at any size — poster, canvas, metal or acrylic. Nothing is shipped. You print it at home, at a local print shop, or through an online service. Two free revisions are included if a detail needs changing.
Light or dark
Two styles come as standard. Light is clean and minimal and sits well in a nursery, a hallway or an office. Dark is bolder and works as a statement piece. Custom colours are available on request — send a hex code and we'll match it. If you can't decide, ask for both; there's no extra charge.

Yes. The airport name or code is all that's needed. Everything else is optional and can be added later.

Any airport in the world, including small regional and municipal fields. Over 500 have been mapped so far.
How long does it take?
Normally 24–48 hours from the time the details are confirmed.
Is this a physical print?
No. You receive digital files and print them yourself, which lets you choose the size, paper and finish.
What sizes can it be printed at?
Any size. The vector PDF scales without losing sharpness, from a small desk print to a large poster.
